You’re My Winter

Last year, I was a wanderer in the cold. This year, you made your heart my home. Your voice became my Christmas carol, and your kind eyes… my hot cocoa. Your warm hands made me forget about mittens, and scarves, and coats… Your lips, gently falling snowflakes on my nose.

You are God’s gift, wrapped in beauty and wonder. Unexpected. Unmerited. Undeserved.

You’re My Autumn

You stepped closer and closer until all I saw were shades of my favourite colour, bursting in front of my eyes.

One by one, I felt the strings of my heart untangle from my chest, and I started falling,

and falling,

and falling.

You’re gravity.
